As an Activities Coordinator youre responsible for planning organizing and implementing a diverse range of engaging activities for our community members. Youre a creative and energetic individual who can create memorable experiences while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all participants.
What Youll Do:
- Coordinates the development of the activity calendar and schedules team members necessary for coverage. Ensures participants are offered a variety of opportunities that promote social spiritual intellectual emotional vocational environmental and physical well-being.
- Assists with the planning of center activity budgets and manages supplies/resources to achieve budget targets.
- Develops a plan of care for each participant that identifies the needs/desires of the participant and the goals for each identified need/desire while ensuring the care plans are used as tools in providing daily opportunities to the participant.
- Coordinates the development of volunteer support and community resources to meet the needs and interests of the participants if applicable.
- Participates as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications :
What Youll Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation BS or BA preferred or equivalent experience (through volunteer work internship or paid experience).
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and/or therapeutic recreation specialist highly desired.
- Active Drivers license in good standing required.
- Two years related experience in a licensed health care setting preferred.
- One year experience working with frail/elderly geriatric population required.
