Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position ensures that all equipment is functioning at peak performance preventive maintenance measures are performed and unscheduled repairs are executed safely and efficiently.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting of the electrical and mechanical aspects of all Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) on site including conveyor systems sortation and scale.
Demonstrate mechanical proficiency for hydraulic and pneumatic systems and
AC/DC electrical motors and drives.
Adjust reset repair or replace mechanical components (belts chains cables) and wear parts (guides bearings wheels rollers pulleys)
Maintain and troubleshoot motors photo eyes relays proximity sensors solenoids motor starters etc.
Clean lubricate and adjust equipment when necessary. Use appropriate job instructions when performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment (i.e. forklifts conveyor system HVAC air compressors dryers and balers).
Routine office and warehouse repairs (to include carpentry painting electrical and plumbing)
Knowledgeable in the use of multi-meters and infrared thermometers.
Read and understand basic electrical and electronic schematics.
Use a computer maintenance management system to create and complete work orders with appropriate data (labor hours downtime problem/cause/remedy and parts used)
Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all departments. and levels of the organization.
Follow required safety procedures and use personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Lock Out/Tag Out Hot Permit etc.)
Adhere to all OSHA federal state and local code requirements.
Ensure that all company tools are in working order.
Maintaining a clean safe secure and orderly work environment.
Work with outside contractors regarding routine preventative maintenance and emergency service calls ensure that security procedures and safe work practices are followed.
Weekend / off-shift work required to support maintenance of equipment off distribution operations hours.
Work overtime as needed.
Carry out additional projects/tasks as assigned.

Qualifications :

2-4 years of experience as a mechanic preferably in a Distribution Center setting.
High level of overall mechanical repair knowledge and experience with conveyor systems preferred.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting MMEH and its peripherals.
Equipment and spare parts maintenance data entry and basic computer skills required.
Basic knowledge of electrical motors and circuits.
Familiarity with experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) preferred.
Time management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate with all departments and work both independently and as a member of a team.
Flexibility with daily task assignments and ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to follow instructions efficiently and accurately.
Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion.
Preferred to have a forklift certification.
Ability to stand walk bend and lift regularly across an 8-hour shift.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $60000.00 - $85000.00.
