Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager RCRA/CERCLA to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities at our Rocky Mountain Arsenal (RMA) addition to technical fluency this position requires a candidate who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and excels at behind-the-scenes collaboration problem-solving and operational oversight.

This position is based out of Denver CO.

This position is a hybrid position primarily located in the office at Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

Background

RMA is one of the nations largest and most studied Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) projects. The U.S. Army is the lead agency at this Department of Defense site. The Army is responsible for consulting with its co-responsible party and working cooperatively with federal state and local regulatory agencies through a decision-making and dispute resolution process outlined in the sites Federal Facility Agreement (FFA). 

AECOMs client has contracted with AECOM to provide staff augmentation services rather than engineering products at RMA. Among other duties the AECOM Project Manager also provides operational support to senior Army leaders and participates in interagency working groups established through the FFA.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal organizational and relationship-building skills.
  • Partner effectively with the client program manager as well as with Army leaders and contractors
  • Facilitate problem-solving and alignment across project stakeholders
  • Oversee subcontractors.
  • Champion site quality and safety programs.
  • Provide strategic planning regulatory interface and operational support to the Army.
  • Represent client interests in multiagency working groups.
  • Support the development and maintenance of program-level plans and procedures.
  • Take ownership of internal project financials staffing legal coordination and risk management.
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in environmental sciences engineering or construction management and 4 years of experience on environmental remediation projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Proven experience with large projects or programs that were delivered on time within scope and budget and to a high standard of quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) or other safety certification
  • Experience with OSHA Voluntary Protection Program.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Contract management experience.
