As the Managing Director Country Head of Human Resources in Singapore you will oversee the overall HR function and partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives. You will play a key role in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace ensuring compliance with local laws maintain a strong working relationship with the regulators and their associated entities and driving employee engagement. Job Responsibilities
- Build the end-to-end people strategy for Singapore across all HR disciplines based on business priorities and the global and regional people strategy. Partner with HR Product portfolios Servicing and global Line of Business (LOB) Advisory to deliver this strategy.
- Build strong relationships with Singapore management Senior Country Officers and key stakeholders globally to drive talent strategies that align to business and market challenges impacting Singapore and identify develop and nurture regional talent.
- Consult on a broad range of people-related topics including employee relations leadership development succession planning recruitment compensation and benefits organization design employee advocacy and Diversity Opportunity & Inclusion (DOI).
- Understand the needs of Singapore and bring those to the HR product organization and bring the full product suite and offerings back to the region.
- Own the adoption and delivery of region-based people metrics to drive business insight and actions.
- Stay current on local job market trends benefits implications to HR policies and processes and competitive landscape dynamics.
- Partner with product portfolios and servicing to review critical Singapore HR processes and support overall issue escalation and resolution.
- Represent the function on the various leadership/management committees across the location.
- Collaborate with regional functional leads to analyze HR processes data and trends in Singapore and recommend improvements.
- Lead Singapore HR crisis management and high-impact business resiliency efforts partnering with global crisis management.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations which includes working with regulators and associated entities as necessary.
- Chair and participate in location management committees to address HR-related matters.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- 15 years of Human Resources or transformation people leadership experience.
- Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.
- Negotiation and conflict management skillsability to mediate negotiate and facilitate differences among diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate lead and manage teams across businesses in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with LOB Executives HR Business Partners and various HR global teams.
- Excellent communication coaching presentation and cultural awareness skills.
- Strategic thinker and pragmatic problem solver who can connect the dots anticipate issues and develop succinct recommendations and implementation plans.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess situations.
- Demonstrated ability to create a strong risk control and conduct mindset across a matrixed functional team.
- Possess a commercial mindset and demonstrated ability to manage significant change agendas.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Strong knowledge of Singapore market and local employment law preferred.
