Chubb Life Global Office Head of Data Management

Chubb Life Global is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Data Management a critical role in shaping the organizations data governance and management practices across 8 markets in Asia. This role will focus on building and leading data councils driving data quality initiatives and establishing frameworks for data ownership cataloguing and ontology. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that data is managed as a strategic asset enabling the organization to unlock its full potential for business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Data Governance & Strategy:Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with the organizations business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Data Product Management:Define and oversee the lifecycle of data products ensuring they meet the needs of business stakeholders and align with the organizations strategic goals.
• Data Councils:Establish and lead internal data councils bringing together cross-functional teams to define and enforce data management policies standards and best practices.
• Data Quality Management:Design and implement frameworks to monitor measure and improve data quality across all business units ensuring data accuracy consistency and reliability.
• Data Ownership:Define clear roles and responsibilities for data ownership across the organization ensuring accountability and compliance with data governance policies.
• Data Catalogue & Ontology:Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive data catalogue and ontology to enable seamless data discovery accessibility and usability across the organization.
• Regulatory Compliance:Ensure that data management practices comply with relevant regulations and standards in all operating markets.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with business leaders IT teams and regional data teams to align data management initiatives with organizational priorities and drive adoption of best practices.

• Bachelor or masters degree in data science Statistics Computer Science MBA Information Management or a related field.
• 15 years of experience in data management governance or related fields with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of leading large-scale data governance initiatives in complex multinational organizations.
• Strong expertise in data quality frameworks data cataloguing and ontology development.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
• Experience in the insurance industry or financial services is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements in Asia.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal
