We are expanding our corporate communications and marketing capabilities and are actively seeking a highly detail-driven Remote Proofreader to join our team.

Position Overview

The Remote Proofreader will ensure the accuracy clarity and consistency of all written communications produced by the company. This includes marketing materials internal documents website content social media posts training manuals menu descriptions and corporate communications. The ideal candidate has excellent grammar and editing skills strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Review and proofread company documents for grammar punctuation spelling clarity and consistency.

Edit marketing materials website copy newsletters presentations email campaigns and social media content.

Ensure brand voice messaging tone and formatting are consistent across all communication platforms.

Collaborate with writers graphic designers HR and marketing teams to improve content quality.

Fact-check information where necessary to ensure accuracy and credibility.

Correct formatting errors and ensure adherence to company style guides.

Provide constructive editorial feedback to content creators.

Review menu descriptions and promotional content for clarity and customer appeal.

Work with confidential company information while maintaining professionalism.

Required Qualifications

Must currently reside in the United States.

Must have valid U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Work Visa or Employment Authorization Document).

Associate or Bachelors degree in English Journalism Communications Marketing or related field (preferred).

2 years of proofreading or editing experience (professional or freelance).

Exceptional knowledge of English grammar and writing mechanics.

Strong research and fact-checking ability.

Experience with style guides (AP Chicago MLA or in-house styles).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Workspace and editing tools.

Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience proofreading for corporate marketing hospitality or restaurant brands.

Knowledge of Italian cuisine terminology (a plus but not required).

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).

Basic understanding of SEO writing practices.
