Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Structural Section Head to lead and manage the structural engineering section in our Lexington KY office. This key leadership role requires a professional with extensive experience in structural engineering team management and project delivery within a collaborative consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the structural engineering team providing technical guidance mentorship and performance management
Oversee and manage project scope schedules budgets and quality for structural projects
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients contractors and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and best practices in all structural designs
Participate in business development activities and contribute to proposal development
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the structural section
Support career growth and professional development of team members

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Minimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong knowledge of structural design codes standards and software
Proficiency in project management and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in managing large multidisciplinary project teams
Familiarity with local and state regulatory environments
Business development and client relationship experience

Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based with occasional site visits
On-site presence required in Lexington KY
Safe and professional working environment
