Job Summary

Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Cleveland OH Hybrid

A newly created opportunity is available for a Senior Staff Accountant seeking the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and execute all necessary month-end close procedures including journal entries accruals and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet Income Statement and Cash Flow reports.
Oversee reconciliation of fixed asset general ledger accounts and depreciation schedules.
Analyze key accounts related to insurance debt and leases to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain daily cash activity records and assist in cash flow tracking.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies through periodic procedure reviews.
Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts through routine reconciliation and adjustments.
Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
Review IOLTA trust accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare annual budgets for depreciation insurance taxes and internal accounting expenses.
Identify and support implementation of process improvements in financial operations.
Assist in financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting.
2-7 years of experience in public accounting or in financial reporting compliance and audit.
Big 4 -or- Lage Regional CPA experience.
Solid understanding of financial statement preparation month-end close and fixed assets.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability.
Advanced proficiency in Excel Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with Aderant and Sage is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a proactive customer-service mindset.
