Division: Louisiana Rehabilitation Services
Location: Baton Rouge LA
This Rehabilitation Program Specialist serves as a program specialist in all activities statewide for the agencys Case Management/Financial System requiring extensive knowledge of the consumer process and caseload movement. This major system supports an eligibility issuance and financial process for the Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) Vocational Rehabilitation Program which is the flagship program of the agency.
The Office of Workforce Development (OWD)is a key division of the Louisiana Works managing programs in workforce training job placement apprenticeships and business engagement. Through collaboration with local boards educational institutions and industry partners OWD aims to improve economic mobility for job seekers and ensure Louisiana employers have the skilled talent they need contributing to the states economic growth.
Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) assists persons with disabilities in their desire to obtain maintain or advance in competitive integrated employment and achieve independence in their communities by providing rehabilitation services and working cooperatively with businesses and other community resources.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in rehabilitation services plus one of the following:
A bachelors degree plus one year of experience in rehabilitation services social services human resources or education; OR
A bachelors degree in rehabilitation counseling; OR
A masters degree.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Provide clerical support to the Blind Services Executive Director as needed in the preparation of the Federal Reports (RSA-7OB and RSA-15). Ensure tracking of promulgation and form changes as required. Also provides clerical support to other program staff in preparing reports and mailings.
- Assist in the preparation of itineraries requests for travel authorizations and travel expense reimbursement requests.
- Establish maintain and organize filing systems ensuring that proper security measures are maintained where applicable. Assist in the preparation and storage of confidential files administrative records correspondence contract invoices legal opinions and Federal and State policies and guidance.
- Perform varied clerical support services at the highest administrative level including scheduling meetings with contractors state officials and others in the private sector.
- Assist the Blind Services Executive Director with monitoring contracts for compliance in accordance with established Federal and State regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned and travel must be performed as needed.
