Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Specialist to join our Procurement Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our data architecture while ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our Procurement data systems and related data processing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient database solutions and data pipelines
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using industry-standard tools
• Optimize database performance through normalization and denormalization strategies
• Create and maintain documentation for database structures and processes
• Collaborate with IT and regional SMEs to support their data needs
• Implement data quality controls and monitoring systems
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
• Automate routine data operations using bash/unix scripting

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
• 5 years of experience in data engineering or similar role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBS)
• Experience with database optimization techniques including normalization and denormalization
• Solid understanding of OLAP concepts and implementation
• Proficiency in bash/unix scripting for automation
• Experience with Snowflake and Snowsight
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions
• Knowledge of data modeling and architecture
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Understanding of data security and compliance requirements
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
