Job Summary

As theCorporate Controllerat FreshJax you will be hands on while building the GL
Accounting process and team while maintaining a focus on process and systematic scalability. Youll oversee and perform the accounting operations Revenue AP AR payroll tax treasury and more. Our Company is fortunate to be in a growth stage so in addition to the day-to-day operations you will work within and across departments to implement systems improve processes and expand existing policies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-paced hands-on environment while still maintaining a close attention to detail.

WHAT YOULL DO

Be responsible for day-to-day operations to produce timely and accurate financial information for internal and external reporting purposes
Perform the general ledger activities including the entry of journal entries and account reconciliations
Create the month-end financial statement analysis and flux commentaries
Develop and execute a roadmap for implementing/improving processes and controls to scale the accounting function and safeguard assets
Establish operational metrics and cadence for reporting
Develop strategy for future system implementations and enhancements/upgrades
Oversee audit processes and proactively communicate with outside CPA on accounting for complex transactions
Sales tax and Fed and State income tax filings international tax and other compliance matters
Treasury disbursements credit/debit card management and Inter-company cash movement
Controls build-out toward audit
Lead or assist in due diligence reviews

WHAT YOULL BRING

Atleast 5 years of related experience including a minimum of 3 years of publicaccounting experience (Public Accounting desired) and 2 years managing a team.
Combined high growth private company and public accounting background. QuickBooks experience a plus.
Proven track record in designing and managing a team
Very strong understanding of US GAAP and displayed proficiency in accounting operations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively interpret data and create meaningful and understandable reports and metrics
Desire to roll-up your sleeves prioritize work execute plans and drive deliverables
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field; CPA or international equivalent preferred
