Job Summary

Job Description: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical obstetric and therapeutic procedures.
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage post-anesthesia recovery and provide pain management services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding anesthesia procedures and risks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and comply with state and federal regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques pharmacology and underlying anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent communication critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Experience in various anesthesia procedures including general regional and local anesthesia.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role or as a preceptor for nursing students is a plus.
