Job Description: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical obstetric and therapeutic procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
- Monitor patients during procedures and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and provide pain management services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and their families regarding anesthesia procedures and risks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and comply with state and federal regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques pharmacology and underlying anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Experience in various anesthesia procedures including general regional and local anesthesia.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in a leadership role or as a preceptor for nursing students is a plus.
