Job Summary
CK Group are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (electro-mechanical) to join a diagnostics company working in the Tyneside region on a contract basis for 12 months.
Salary:
Per Day: 200 - 250 PAYE or 265 - 330 Umbrella (Inside IR35).
Field Service Engineer Role:
Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with a major presence in the UK. Their purpose is to deliver life-changing medicines and to do this they are completely science-led and like to share this with the scientific healthcare and business communities within the UK.
Location:
This role is field based covering 3 sites in the Tynecastle area however we do require someone to be based within a commutable range to the sites.

Field Service Engineer Role:
- Provide frontline support across various analytical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Minimise unplanned downtime of laboratory equipment
- Deliver applications and IT support
- Conduct training for laboratory staff
- Degree HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Thorough up-to-date understanding of the IVD industry
- Solid experience in implementing best-in-class support
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Resilient and tenacious able to thrive under pressure
- Growth mindset with ability to use agile techniques
- Full UK/EU (or equivalent) driving licence and own transport
