Job Description
Youll be the go-to expert for specialized bookkeeping operations focusing on association work using AppFolio software. This role puts you at the center of multi-jurisdictional financial operations where your expertise directly impacts business accuracy and compliance. Youll work closely with the Director of Finance and integrate seamlessly into an established team that values precision and specialized knowledge in property management and association accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive bookkeeping operations using AppFolio software for US-based business entities
- Handle specialized association work and related financial operations with precision and compliance focus
- Maintain accurate financial records ensuring adherence to US accounting standards and association requirements
- Collaborate directly with the finance leadership team on daily operations and strategic financial management
- Process complex transactions and reporting specific to property management and association structures
- Integrate financial data across multiple business jurisdictions while maintaining accuracy and compliance
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes with association-specific reporting requirements
- Maintain organized documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions and processes
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience with demonstrated expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio software (non-negotiable)
- Experience working with US-based companies and thorough understanding of US financial compliance requirements
- Excellent English communication skills for seamless team integration
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high accuracy standards
- Bonus if you have experience with multi-jurisdictional accounting operations
- It helps if you have property management or real estate industry background
