Job Summary
Position: Special Education Teacher
Join our dedicated elementary team as a Special Educator and become a vital partner in our mission to champion every students potential. We are seeking a collaborative and proactive educator to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.
Role Overview:
- Deliver specialized data-driven instruction in core subjects to foster student growth.
- Facilitate the development of students behavioral and social-emotional competencies.
- Oversee comprehensive progress monitoring and documentation to meet compliance requirements.
- Manage and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with district standards.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing professional learning and problem-solving.
- Tailor curriculum and instructional methods to meet the varied needs of learners across multiple disability categories.
- Serve as a key liaison fostering strong partnerships with families teachers and support staff to ensure coordinated care and success.
Requirements
- Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
