Production Operative
Location: Carlisle
Hours: 4 on 4 off (12h shifts)
Pay rate: starting from 12.30 shift allowance
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Key responsibilities:
- Rotate between various workstations on the production line
- Monitor product quality and enter accurate data into digital systems
- Work as part of a team to meet daily packing targets
- Follow strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times
- Carry out quality checks including metal detection procedures and record results
- Make routine operational decisions within your area of responsibility
- Ensure correct packaging coding and labelling of products
- Plan for product or line changes and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Operate packing machinery and automated equipment safely
- Clean production and packing areas to the required hygiene standards
- Complete relevant documentation for traceability and compliance
About you:
- Good attention to detail and awareness of quality standards
- Positive proactive approach to teamwork and daily tasks
- Previous experience in a food production or packing role is desirable
- Understanding of food safety hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions confidently
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Willing to learn new processes and follow training
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production-focused environment
