Position Overview:

The Production Technician III is responsible for supporting the production engineering and management teams with implementing continuous improvement projects affecting the manufacturing process as well as troubleshooting systems machinery and application software

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with engineering production quality and continuous improvement to resolve production issues
  • Supports manufacturing with the design build and installation of special jigs and fixtures that may be needed to improve production.
  • Works with Engineering to bring new equipment and processes to the manufacturing floor.
  • Provide training and support to production employees to ensure the highest level of productivity and quality
  • Identify root cause of technical issues arising from the production line and work with team to implement solutions
  • Performs repair rebuilding or overhaul work of manufacturing or service equipment from blueprints company manufacturing manuals and written or verbal instructions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in welding and fabrication within production environment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree or technical certification preferred
  • Aluminum welding experience preferred
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot to the component level
  • Ability to manage multiple products/projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to use a computer in a Windows based environment with MS Office
  • Self-starter and detail oriented preferred

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20-$28 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location.

At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds. The employee is constantly walking pushing/pulling reaching and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting kneeling and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws bolts and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.
