Job Summary

Sparrow Company is looking for an Auto Body Technician that will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to factory specifications. This position requires hands-on experience in body repair attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate is dependable safety-conscious and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Return vehicles to factory specifications following repair procedures.
Remove vehicle trim and components to gain access to damaged areas.
Fill depressions with body filler and ensure a smooth quality repair.
Remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch.
Bolt or weld replacement parts into position using appropriate equipment.
Straighten bent automobile frames using a frame rack.
Section and repair vehicle body structures as needed.
File grind and sand repaired surfaces using hand and power tools.
Align and replace panels doors and other body components.
Aim and adjust headlights.
Perform cosmetic and finishing repairs.
Use specialized equipment to restore metal frames and body sections to original specifications.
Develop efficient repair methods for each job to ensure accuracy and productivity.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in automotive body repair required.
Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally exposed to hot cold wet or humid conditions.
