Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking an Aviation Safety Liaison to join our team of qualified diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary connection between theFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) aviation stakeholders and local this role you will coordinatesafety communications stakeholder engagement and compliance monitoringto ensure that FAA modernization and operational programs maintain the highest levels of safety.

In this position you will:

  • Act as theprimary liaisonbetween FAA leadership operators and aviation stakeholders.
  • You will act as a bridge between FAA technical teams and external partners helping translate safety standards into actionable practices across the aviation community.
  • Support the rollout ofFAA safety initiatives programs and compliance activities.
  • Coordinatesafety communications outreach and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Gather feedback from local operators and communities to inform FAA program planning.
  • Facilitatesafety briefings workshops and information sessions.
  • Monitor and track adoption of FAAsafety management system (SMS) practices.
  • Assist inincident communications investigations and corrective action tracking.
  • Ensure consistent alignment ofFAA safety policies and modernization effortswith local needs.
  • Provide regularreports updates and recommendationsto FAA leadership.
  • Ability to prepareaudit-ready safety documentation and compliance reports.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associates degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.
  • Experiencein aviation safety stakeholder relations or program coordination.
  • Strong knowledge ofaviationsafety standards SMS principles and regulations.
  • Experience coordinating withfederal state or local aviation authorities.
  • Experience developingcommunity engagement and outreach campaignsin aviation contexts.
  • Strong understanding ofaviation safety challenges in diverse operational environments.
  • Experience supportingincident response investigations or safety risk management.
  • Certification in Safety Management (e.g. Certified Safety Professional CSP Certified Systems Engineering Professional CSEP with safety emphasis ASP - Associate Safety Professional SMS Safety Mgmt Specialist CHST Construction Safety)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity withFAA NextGen programs and NAS modernization efforts.
  • Experience supportingFAA NextGen modernization programsor NAS-related initiatives.
  • Experience supportingfederal agencies preferably FAA DOT DHS or DoD.
  • Masters degree inAviation Safety Systems Engineering or Public Policy.
  • Professional certifications such as C.M. (Certified Member) from AAAE.
  • Direct experience supportingFAA safety offices airports or airline safety programs.
  • Familiarity withinternational aviation safety standards(ICAO EUROCONTROL or equivalent).

Target Salary Range

$104000 - $166000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
