MMC Tech is seeking a candidate for the role of POD Lead (Senior Technology Delivery Lead). This role will be based in Noida/Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Within Mercer Tech organization our Scaled Agile Delivery Methodology is transforming our IT teams in cohorts of Pods and Squads. If a Squad is defined as the smallest number of people required to deliver product functionality to market then a Pod is the smallest number of Squads required to deliver a complex product or collection of integrated products to market. Pods exist to create Products and services that deliver on business focused Missions. We in Product Delivery Engineering are on a mission: to transform the way our Mercer business and IT teams worktogetherto unlock the benefits of rapid delivery of quality secure software to market by empowered teams. We will do this by rolling out our Agile at Scale Delivery mode and ensuring we are able to integrate cutting edge AI solutions. You will oversee one or more Pods and will beresponsiblefor their delivery of working software through to production.

We will count on you to:

• Run the software delivery for your POD ensuring adherence to organizational framework(s) for getting software through from requirements to working in production

• Own End-to-end Delivery of software Product from requirements process to production support

• Be Responsible for aligning with the strategic objectives and operating model for Agile delivery in particular the Quality Engineering transformation and the shift towards the implementation of T-Shaped Engineering practices

• Make outcomes that lead to project success and work with Product Owner and Business Analysts to help project team prioritize and groom backlog in order to deliver an Alpha early and then continue to deliver value often throughout the project lifecycle to staging and production environments

• Be aleaderfor between 4-8 squads: around 30 70 people

• Ensure our governance and ceremonies are in place and effective

• Identify and work towards eliminating blockers swiftly

• Ensure your PODs are motivated collaborative efficient and empowered

• Ensure our standard metrics are visible and actively being used to drive decisions and improvements

• Maintain a continuous flow of work considering full lifecycle of a product including tech debt obsolescence security and modernization

• Own the Continuous Improvement backlog for your POD(s) covering the following pillars - time to market efficiency and quality

• Provide regular crisp updates to Stakeholders

• Conduct Product Increment Planning Sessions at Quarterly or other defined frequency

• Manage the integration of AI solutions into existing products and new developments ensuring alignment with organisational goals and enhancing overall product functionality

• In addition to your day to day activities you will be assigned 1 or more workstreams leadership opportunities that will deliver cross-functional benefits to our organization

What you need to have:

• Significant organisational Agile transformation experience and be able to demonstrate proven strategies. Mercer has a complex technological landscape and a large portfolio of revenue generating applications. We also have significant security processes and legislative requirements to protect our customers and their data

• Previous experience of Agile Programme management e.g (RTE role)

• You will be expected to have a broad technicalunderstandingtosupportyour Agile credentials from software architecture through test DevOps practices security and operational run

• Solid understanding of Software Development Architecture Test Engineering and Security best practice in an Agile environment

• A metrics driven approach to delivery evaluation and drive out systems and processes that help define and report on the metrics we believe to be important

• Excellent stakeholder management skills. As we work to transform the Mercer IT and Business into a truly Agile organization you will need to influence and coach senior executives many of whom will be new to Agile

• Pods and squads are distributed globally and utilize a mix of permanent and partner staff who work largely remotely so experience of working with and motivating distributed teams is vital

• You will be collaborative Inquisitive and interested in technology and best practices

• You will have an Enterprise mind-set able to foster collaboration break down silos identify and work to remove blockers

• You will be a recognized Agile Expert intimately familiar with the processes and practices required for successful and sustainable delivery. Our main delivery methodologies are Scrum and Kanban

• You will have familiarity with AI technologies models etc and use it for both engineering and business efficiency.

• Min 16 years of Experience spanning across a range of Technology roles

• Experience of managing various types of projects development maintenance support transformation tech migration etc

• Experience of working/managing delivery of technology solutions using Dot-Net Angular Sql workflow automation Cloud Containers APIs Github Co-pilot

• Expert with sharing estimates on the basis of very high levels of requirements from business to secure project funding

• Financially astute- you will instill Financial Management Disciplines into your team and be accountable for Engineering Delivery spend reporting and tracking

• Experience of using ADO as tool for managing work through its full life-cycle

• Rounded and holisticunderstandingof Agile Methodologies

• Certifications such as CSM CSP Leading Agile SAFe-RTE or their equivalent

• Functional knowledge in Employee Benefits Health Insurance domain and experience of delivering products in this domain

• Expert with Metrics based tracking of work and relate to business value
