Private Client Solicitor (6-7 PQE / 3-4 PQE with Pre-Qualification Experience)

The Role
As a Private Client Solicitor you will:
- Advise high-net-worth clientson estate planning wills trusts and tax-efficient wealth structures
- Manage estate administrationfrom probate through to final distribution ensuring compliance with all legal and tax requirements
- Draft complex legal documents including wills trusts powers of attorney and tax planning structures
- Provide strategic guidanceon inheritance tax planning lifetime gifts and succession planning
- Conduct client meetingswith professionalism and discretion often handling sensitive family matters
- Liaise with accountants tax advisers and financial plannersto deliver holistic client solutions
- Manage a portfolio of clients building long-term relationships and repeat business
- Contribute to team development by mentoring junior staff and sharing expertise
About You
Essential Requirements:
- 67 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)in private client law OR
- 34 years PQE with substantial pre-qualification experiencein private client matters (e.g. trainee/paralegal roles)
- Strong technical knowledgeof wills trusts estate administration and inheritance tax planning
- Excellent written and oral communicationskills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Discretion and professionalismwhen handling sensitive family and financial matters
- Proficiencywith legal case management systems Microsoft Office and conveyancing software
- Current practising certificatein good standing
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Lasting Powers of Attorney and deputyship matters
- Knowledge of trust administration and tax planning strategies
- Membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) or commitment to obtaining it
- Track record of positive client feedback and business development
- Interest in continuing professional development within private client law
