Position Purpose

We are currently offering up to a $50k Sign-on Bonus for Veterinarians at Eastern Animal Hospital!

We are adding to our GP team and wed love to talk with you! Our leading-edge facility is designed to handle a wide range of caseload needs. Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical surgical dental behavioral and preventive care in a welcoming and supportive environment. With a focus on client education and personalized treatment plans we strive to build lasting relationships with both our patients and their owners. We have a complete in-house lab all digital radiographs and a state-of-the-art new ultrasound. We also provide a high tech to doctor ratio including our CVTs.

We offer urgent care/emergency for those patients that need to be transferred or admitted.

We welcome doctors with all experience levels and strong mentorship is available for those just starting out. Were looking forward to inviting you into our practice!

Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues policies and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
