Job Summary
A Lead or Senior Software engineer at IFS designs develops and maintains software included in IFS products. This work is focused on interpreting and analyzing functional and technical requirements to create fit-for-purpose and enterprise-grade software. Usability maintainability security and performance are key aspects of this work.
Someone in this role uses their technical know-how to develop and maintain the products in a way that ensures product sustainability throughout the products lifecycle. Software engineers at IFS demonstrate a strong commitment to the product quality and takes proactive action to prevent issues from arising and resolve them quickly and effective when they still do occur.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain enterprise-grade software for IFS products focusing on usability maintainability security and performance.
- Contribute to multiple functional and technical areas within a product including designing and scoping new features.
- Participate in design/code reviews and apply sound software engineering practices and principles.
- Mentor and coach team members encouraging knowledge sharing and pair programming.
- Ensure code quality through adherence to team standards and thorough code reviews.
- Diagnose issues and provide solutions across multiple functional and technical areas.
- Proactively contribute to team-level technical goals and strategic initiatives.
- Continuously improve technical product and business knowledge.
- Frame problems and perform relevant research for small to medium-sized projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of commitments and maintain clear communication within the team.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of relevant experience; BA/BS required preferably in Computer Science MIS IT or related field
- Ability to overlap work hours with US business hours
- Excellent communication multi-tasking skills and innovative mindset
Mandatory Skills
-Proficient in C#/.NET Angular and Python with the ability to deliver end-to-end project solutions.
-Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL Oracle and ESRI ArcGIS technologies.
-Demonstrated expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and ArcGIS Enterprise services.
-Experience with ESRI ArcGIS tools such as:
-ArcGIS Pro SDK ArcPy ArcGIS JavaScript API
-Proficient in applying enterprise design patterns ORM frameworks and GIS architectural principles.
-In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services for cloud-based solution development and deployment.
-Ability to implement unit testing and integration testing strategies effectively.
-Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in collaborative team environments.
-Practical understanding of UI/UX concepts wireframing and prototyping to drive intuitive user experiences.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conceptualize architect and deliver complex software systems.
Good-to-Have Skills
-Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker).
-Experience in both Linux and Windows environments.
-Familiarity with tools such as Selenium SpecFlow/Reqnroll NUnit and Gherkin-based BDD frameworks.
-Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance code quality streamline development processes and drive innovation throughout the SDLC
