This role is with Deloitte Digital Southeast Asia. Across all clients and sectors we believe great customer experiences create greater impact. That elevating the human experience creates enduring value for the organization for the customer for society for all.

We are seeking an experienced Shopify Tech Lead to join our growing digital commerce practice as a Senior this role you will lead technical workstreams for complex Shopify Plus engagements working at the intersection of technology strategy and delivery for some of the worlds leading brands.

You will be responsible for architecting scalable eCommerce solutions managing development teams and serving as a trusted technical advisor to our clients. As a senior member of the team you will collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts designers project managers and client stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the technical workstreams on Shopify Plus projects including architecture custom app development integration and deployment.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients offering guidance on best practices platform capabilities and solution design.
• Architect scalable Shopify Plus solutions including third-party integrations (ERP CRM OMS etc.) performance optimization and internationalization.
• Provide technical leadership to internal development teams including code reviews task estimation and mentorship.
• Collaborate with project managers and delivery leads to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of technical components.
• Participate in technical pre-sales activities such as scoping technical discovery and solution prototyping.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving Shopify ecosystem and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• 6 years of hands-on experience in eCommerce development with at least 3 years focused on Shopify/Shopify Plus.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams on end-to-end Shopify Plus implementations in a consulting or agency environment.
• Deep understanding of Shopify Liquid templating Polaris design system and Storefront API.
• Experience with custom Shopify apps ( React or Ruby preferred) and Shopify Plus features (e.g. Shopify Scripts Flow Launchpad B2B).
• Strong knowledge of headless commerce architectures APIs and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React ).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices Git workflows and deployment automation.
• Experience integrating Shopify with enterprise systems (ERP CRM PIM OMS).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
