At GBH we believe in the advantages of coming together to build community mentor and learn from colleagues and connect more deeply with our mission. As a result the majority of our staff are hybrid and work both from home and onsite. Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week every Tuesday and one other day to be determined by their business unit. Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Events and Engagement team helps to engage and identify new members and cultivate steward and increase commitments of existing relationships between the GBH Educational Foundation and its membership high value patrons and in-kind donor constituency while adhering to the highest standards of quality and service for which GBH is known. The team also provides partnership opportunities to local companies and organizations that share with GBH a common value and commitment to the education and cultural enrichment of our community. Through various levels of participation and project areas such as Auctions Community and Membership Event Productions Festivals Volunteers New Product Development the Member Engagement team helps tosupport GBHs ongoing fundraising efforts and mission.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Marketing Communications Manager (MC) is responsible for creating and managing all event-related digital communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop marketing and informational emailssuch as event promotions confirmations reminders and post-event thank-you messages.
  • Work closely with Event Producers to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for each event and leads the creation and maintenance of event ticketing pages and landing websites.
  • Develop post-event fundraising and cultivation campaigns writes fundraising messaging for both live and virtual events manages the overall event marketing calendar (including TV and radio spot inventory) and oversees the coordination and execution of marketing plans for up to 100 events annually.
  • Serve as the lead for all volunteer communications and scheduling and is responsible for building and deploying external marketing emails for prospect outreach and engagement.

SKILL SET

  • Demonstrated copy writing skills required with emphasis on coordinating efforts across multiple teams is essential
  • Ability to meet multiple competing deadlines critical
  • Ability to collaborate effectively articulate goals and objectives to gain understanding and buy-in from stakeholders is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience are required. Experience in event management communications marketing or related discipline required. Minimum of 4 years of experience producing events and at least 2 years of experience producing virtual events. Experience with Zoom Webinar is essential. Experience with copy writing in a deadline driven environment is required.
