Overview
The Staff Chaplain is part of the Spiritual Services Department that provides in-house coverage 24/7. The Staff Chaplain is a member of the interdisciplinary team; the chaplain provides spiritual care counseling religious resources and crisis intervention for patients families and hospital staff. The chaplain offers spiritual guidance and resources during hospitalization and periods of illness crisis and including support at the time of death and beyond through after care coordination. The position also provides consultation on patient religious and ethical issues of significance in the healthcare community; and provides compassionate services to a diverse population encompassing all and those with secular beliefs that are represented by patients families and staff.

Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and spiritual support to families patients and staff members in the event of death new or ongoing diagnosis and other life-changing moments.
- Participates in departmental and professional development.
- Demonstrates leadership and flexibility to provide coverage as scheduled.
- Participates in worship events in the Lisa Barth Chapel
Qualifications
- Masters Degree . or equivalency determined by APC and 1-2 years experience pediatric chaplaincy experience preferred; completion of one year (4 units) of Clinical Pastoral Education required.
- One of the following: Association of Professional Chaplains National Association of Catholic Chaplains National Association of Jewish Chaplains required upon hire
- Employees must obtain Association of Professional Chaplains or equivalent within 1460 days
- Employees must obtain National Association of Jewish Chaplains or equivalent within 1460 days
- Employees must obtain National Association of Catholic Chaplains or equivalent within 1460 days
- Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $26.91/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
