About the painter position:
Were looking for a talented painter who will be responsible for painting the interior and exterior areas of the property. This position is also responsible for ensuring apartments are painted and ready for move-in and assisting the maintenance team with service requests.
- Schedule monitor and perform work orders as needed such as painting
- Wall repair and preparation spackle
- Ability to identify appropriate materials for each surface to be painted
- Paint the interiors and exteriors of apartments according to company guidelines
- Perform property inspections to ensure the grounds are clean as well as to identify any problems
- Respond to on-call pager when scheduled and perform emergency maintenance to items that need to be repaired
- Ensure all work area supplies are net clean and orderly after painting or when work orders have otherwise been completed
- Comply with all policies practices and applicable health and safety rules and regulations as well as applicable local state and federal laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one year of previous painting and/or make-ready experience (or that of a similar function) is preferred
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to read write understand and communicate in English
- Ability to use paint sprayer roller brush paint pad etc.
- Adhere to all OHSA guidelines
- Ability to use general office equipment such as telephone fax machine printer copier and key track system
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must maintain a professional appearance and comply with the prescribed uniform policy
- May be required to possess a valid drivers license if required to drive
- Musty comply with all safety requirements
- Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses if assigned
