Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated MOS Software Engineer to join our Mission Operations Segment team. Reporting to the MOS Lead
Youll work closely with our satellite operations team contributing to the development maintenance and enhancement of critical safety tools that are essential to our day-to-day operations and the success of our missions.
Your role will be instrumental in improving operational efficiency scaling infrastructure to support new satellites and ensuring the cybersecurity and reliability of our systems. From automating processes to collaborating with suppliers youll directly impact constellrs mission success and shape the future of satellite operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance existing safety-critical in-house tools.
Implement new features to improve operations automate processes and scale infrastructure for fleet expansion.
Develop new tools based on requirements from upcoming missions or operator needs.
Collaborate closely with the satellite operations team to address challenges and propose technical solutions.
Engage with suppliers for maintenance and updates of procured tools and services.
Ensure timely reaction to safety-critical issues and prioritise cybersecurity in all developments.
Location:This position is offered on a hybrid or remote basis in Germany or Belgium. We have offices in Munich Berlin Freiburg (Germany) and Brussels (Belgium).
About you
Required:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Solid experience as a software developer (experience in aerospace or safety-critical software is a plus).
Proficiency in Python development.
Strong understanding of Linux environments and cloud-based deployments (AWS experience required).
Expertise with SQL and database technologies (PostgreSQL required; InfluxDB is a plus).
Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Grafana.
Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Passion for space projects and familiarity with space operations or Earth observation missions.
Ability to prioritise tasks deliver results on time and proactively address deviations.
Quick learner with a drive to expand knowledge and skill sets.
Collaborative team-player mindset with a strong motivation to shape constellrs organisation.
Analytical results-oriented and self-motivated with strong discipline for mission success.
Comfortable working in a distributed team using collaborative tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
