Assistant Professor- Psychologist Opportunity Gastroenterology Clinic

Are you a compassionate and experienced Psychologist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on patients lives MCW is seeking a dedicated Psychologist for our Gastroenterology Clinic patients to join our multidisciplinary team.

This position will play a crucial role in our program working closely with a dynamic team of gastroenterologists surgeons dietitians and other healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to perform psychological evaluations for GI patients ensuring that they feel mentally and emotionally supported through their life-changing journey. These evaluations are a vital step in our patient care process and they contribute to our commitment to comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments for GI patients
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care
• Offer counseling and support to patients as they prepare for treatment
• Evaluate patients mental health and emotional well-being to ensure the best outcomes

Position Requirements:

• Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
• Fellowship training in clinical health psychology or related field
• Licensed or license-eligible psychologist in the state of Wisconsin
• Experience in health psychology or a related field particularly with GI patients is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine commitment to improving the well-being of our patients
