Job Responsibilities:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide polished anticipatory service during banquets conferences weddings and VIP events ensuring a refined guest experience aligned with fiveâstar standards.
- Execute event setup and breakdown: arrange tables linens place settings buffet and bar stations; maintain pristine presentation throughout service.
- Deliver coursed meals and beverages with precision timing; follow detailed banquet event orders (BEOs) dietary requirements and service sequences.
- Engage guests with discreet professional hospitality: greet seat serve and respond to requests; handle special occasions and VIP protocols.
- Coordinate closely with culinary banquet captains bartenders and AV teams to ensure seamless event flow and rapid problem resolution.
- Uphold luxury brand standards: polished appearance product knowledge (menus wine allergens) and mastery of fine-dining etiquette.
- Maintain safety and compliance: responsible alcohol service sanitation and handling of equipment; adhere to health and hotel policies.
- Manage side work monitor inventory at stations and accurately record charges or adjustments as directed.
- Support post-event duties: clear and reset rooms conduct linen and equipment counts report damages or losses.
- Contribute to service excellence through punctuality teamwork and continuous improvement; assist with training new team members when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years experience in fine dining food service establishment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or of age specified by State Alcohol Control Laws.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions to make decisions without supervision and to prioritize tasks in order to meet appropriate deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and complete assignments on time when confronted with frequent stressful emergency critical or unusual situations.
- Ability to converse calmly with irate guests co-workers and superiors in sometimes intense emotional situations.
- Standing and walking occurs 90-95% of the time. Walking occurs continuously in and between kitchen and banquet or meeting room areas.
- Many work tasks require the ability to lift and carry at most 40 pounds 100% of the time.
