Our client is seeking a skilled and caring Preschool Chef to join their early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing nutritious meals for young children maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness and contributing to a positive nurturing school environment.
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Part-Time)
Compensation: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience and education)
As the Preschool Chef youll oversee the daily preparation of healthy balanced meals that support childrens growth and development. Youll plan menus manage kitchen inventory and ensure that all meals meet dietary safety and regulatory requirements.
Prepare balanced appealing meals and snacks that meet dietary and nutrition standards.
Follow safe food handling and storage practices at all times.
Maintain daily menu and inventory records in compliance with CCFP (Child Care Food Program) guidelines.
Coordinate food purchasing menu planning and kitchen organization.
Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and menu adjustments.
1-2 years of professional food service experience (childcare or institutional settings preferred).
City of Columbus SafeServe certification required.
Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred: Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move as required by kitchen operations.
