General Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations the Museum Registrar is responsible for the cataloging care and preservation of all historical art scientific objects related to the collection of the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum. This position is responsible for maintaining and processing collection records and documents related to accessioning deaccessioning cataloging classification preservation and conservation; coordinate incoming and outgoing object and exhibit loans including shipping arrangements insurance negotiations and records management; maintain the collection management database which includes acting as system supervisor; assist in collections care related to the historical and art collections; assist the curators as needed; with inventory reconciliation; other duties as assigned.
