The Production Test Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities related to electrical testing in the electronic manufacturing plant. The goal is to ensure that all products meet quality standards and technical specifications before shipment guaranteeing the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing processes.
Additionally will lead the diagnostic area ensuring operational excellence reducing defects and failures and strengthening the focus on product quality. They will develop competency analyses of current technicians and advanced training plans in electronics. Furthermore will perform failure analyses and improve diagnostic methodologies to create development plans for personnel analyzing high-voltage power supply units. And will also execute a strategic plan to continuously improve knowledge skills and the learning environment in a medium-sized high-mix multinational engineering and manufacturing organization like Spellman HV.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel involved in electrical testing diagnostics and failure analysis.
2. Ensure compliance with electrical testing procedures and standards.
3. Develop and maintain test plans and validation protocols.
4. Analyze and resolve technical issues related to electrical testing.
5. Collaborate with the engineering department for test equipment maintenance hardware and software engineering to continuously improve testing processes.
6. Manage resources and equipment necessary for electrical testing.
7. Conduct internal audits of testing processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
8. Ensure dignified and professional treatment of all employees in their areas of responsibility.
9. Comply with and enforce legal stipulations rules and policies regarding labor environmental safety hygiene and occupational health.
10. Generate weekly production schedules for the areas under their charge according to the Visual Schedule.
11. Meet manufacturing deadlines according to lead time.
12. Ensure the dispatch of materials in conjunction with the materials department.
13. Establish manufacturing cells to reduce cycle times and improve manufacturing processes.
14. Utilize and support the ANDON system in production areas.
15. Review production capacities and labor weekly.
16. Monitor and review the established kanban for production re-planning.
17. Support activities related to the implementation/launch of new products.
18. Implement follow and monitor corrective actions for the areas under their charge.
19. Report testing needs and performance to management.
20. Safeguard the companys interests and assets.
21. Support lean manufacturing activities (Gemba visual factory 5s VSM lean assessment).
22. Review and follow factors affecting the KPIs of their areas Dashboard.
23. Monitor and follow company safety norms and rules.
24. Calibration and analysis of high-voltage power sources.
25. Analysis of subassemblies/manufactured units.
26. Supervise the evaluation of electronic components.
27. Propose and generate engineering changes.
28. Analyze and solve problems in pilot runs production and customer returns.
29. Provide feedback to the corporate engineering team.
30. Collaborate with customer technical teams.
31. Create experiments (DOE) and generate detailed failure analysis reports.
32. Implement corrective/preventive actions.
33. Provide training and technical support to area personnel and related departments.
34. Develop and implement new testing methods/equipment.
35. Follow established KPIs.
36. Detect and establish continuous improvements.
37. Perform and approve deviations to testing processes and products.
38. Ensure that personnel under their charge comply with the companys code of conduct (ethics).
