Summary
This Process Engineer will join the Operations Quality Execution team reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations Quality. This critical role is responsible for driving sustainable measurable improvements in operational efficiency safety and quality across USICs field and corporate processes. The ideal candidate will conduct direct observation and utilize advanced methodologies and frameworks for the purposes of optimizing operational quality and identifying and eliminating non-value add activities/time from our technicians workload.
Responsibilities
- Observe and evaluate processes including human work factors quality control and investigative analysis to satisfy business requirements including compliance with customer contracts
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies to complex cross-functional problems leading project to data-driven and sustainable improvement
- Use appropriate LEAN practices to drive a reduction in non-value add processes
- Provide management with project status updates feedback and appropriately escalate when needed.
- Partner with Finance to estimate the cost savings potential of waste reduction and performance improvement projects.
- Facilitate meetings including determining the audience and tactics appropriate (and adapting as needed) for a particular discussion to ensure the appropriate level of engagement for successful execution of changes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Engineering Operations Management (MBA or equivalent preferred)
- 5 years of experience in leading large-scale transformation initiatives with a focus on field operations or similar domains. Utility and Telecom Industries experience highly preferred.
- Experience in delivering measurable waste reduction improvements.
- Lean Six Sigma training & certification.
- Ability to travel 75% of the time
- Strong Experience with Project Management Required
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven decision-making with proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel Tableau or Power BI
