The Opportunity
DYS is seeking a Behavioral Healthcare Provider 2 tooversee facility behavioral healthcare functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.
Specifically theBehavioral Healthcare Provider 2will:
Within the scope of their licensure provide social work services including assessments; treatment planning; individual group and/or family interventions/sessions; crisis intervention; liaison services (e.g. with family regional office/juvenile parole officers release authority school courts and other community support services); discharge and aftercare planning; etc. to assigned caseload of youth offenders.
Consistent with policy represent social and/or habilitative programming on the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDT).Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities agencies and support services. Contact parent/guardian (e.g. in emergencies crises transfers etc.).
Access develop maintain and synthesize written and/or electronic documentation to satisfy requirements of federal state and local agencies; and in compliance with DYS policy (e.g. progress notes institutional and community reports pertaining to the youths case; etc.).

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check that includes results from BCI & FBI. DYS is a qualifying employer for purposes of the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness PSLF program.
All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services must complete a paid mandatory 6 weeks of training. Week 1 is held at the facility weeks 2 through 4 are held at DYS Training Academy in Orient Ohio Monday through Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. (travel lodging and meals are provided). Weeks 5 - 6 are on the job training held at the facility.
