Job Summary

Putney Central School nestled on a 180-acre campus in the Connecticut River Valley of southern Vermont and serving 185 students in grades PK - 8 is seeking applicants for the position evening custodian. The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be an integral part of a welcoming and collaborative school community and develop the many skills needed to manage all aspects of maintaining and developing a Pk - 8th grade school building and campus. Priority will be given to those candidates who show an interest in engaging with students as part of their facility management position would start as soon as possible and be a permanent position. Hours of the role are daily from 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM with the vast majority of the daily tasks being nightly cleaning of the school. The successful candidate will have a proven history of an ability to work independently take care and pride in their work be physically able to be on their feet for a full shift and a close attention to detail in maintaining a clean and functional work space. This position will work closely with the school facility manager and school principal. No explicit cleaning experience is required.
