LOCATION
Homeless Shelters (Wicomico County)
SALARY
$38.00 per hour contractual (no benefits)
HOURS
4 days per week up to 8 hours per week in accordance with the WCPS calendar until May 2025
QUALIFICATIONS
Eligibility for MSDE teacher certification or Bachelors degree from an accredited college is required.
Experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students parents teachers shelter staff and associates.
Ability to engage a variety of children and youth.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist students in homeless shelters in the after school program.
Facilitate enrichment learning time.
Provide homework assistance.
Serve as a liaison with teachers parents and administration.
