About this Position
This position will support our group classes - Pool After Rehab and Yoga as well as coverage in the surgical optimization clinic at the Royal Oak Hospital providing education to patients preparing to undergo joint replacement surgery.

Scope of Work
Under the general direction of the supervising physician the athletic trainer delivers athletic training services to encompass the prevention examination diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation of emergent acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers (AT) are highly qualified multi-skilled health care professionals who develop implement and maintain comprehensive health care programs for athletes and other the direction of on the prescription of or in collaboration with a physician the practice of athletic training includes the treatment of an individual for risk management injury prevention clinical evaluation and assessment immediate care and treatment and rehabilitation and reconditioning of injury or illness or both.
Qualifications
Required Bachelors Degree Completion of a CAATE approved athletic training education program or educational equivalent.
Preferred Masters Degree Post-certification Masters degree in athletic training.
CRT-Athletic Trainer Certified - BOC Board of Certification and Accreditation Upon Hire required
LIC-Athletic Trainer License - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - Upon Hire required
CRT-Performance Enhancement Specialization Certified (PES) - preferred
CRT-Functional Movement Screen Certified (FMS) - preferred
CRT-Kinesio Taping Practitioner Certified (CKTP) - preferred
LIC-Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - STATEMI State of Michigan preferred
