Description
Position Objective:
The RWC Craft Lead works with Core Team and RWC Program Coordinator to develop implement and oversee RWC program and provides direction leadership and oversight of all camp crafts programs in a manner consistent with MHAs mission vision and values.
General Qualifications:
The Redwood Camp (RWC) Craft Lead is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work stewardship relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association Inc.s (MHA) mission vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining cultivating and leading MHAs Christian community conference programs and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Be the driving force for the RWC craft program imagining implementing delegating and supervising.
- Provide assistance in miscellaneous projects relating to RWC Program.
- Share in the responsibilities of keeping camp areas including workspaces and supplies clean and orderly.
- Assist with operating the trading post as needed
- Operate camp bank and keep detailed records of all transactions
- Maintain inventory organization cleanliness and sanitation of office and supplies
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Program personnel that assist with RWC craft and trading post program implementation.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- High school graduate; college graduate preferred.
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified (before arriving at camp).
Work Experience:
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
- Prior experience in leadership roles in camp settings preferred
- Familiarity with RWC ministry is preferred but not required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Love for children of all ages is essential.
- Effective leader and communicator who is organized and flexible being able to adjust to challenging situations.
- Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers as well as camp guidelines and principles.
- Imaginative and passionate teacher with the ability to think creatively.
- Ability to maintain a strong team-oriented work ethic in conjunction with general program staff.
- Emotionally mature and willing to accept responsibility.
- Ability to lead and teach with patience and clear instruction.
- Motivated and able to lead with empathy and discipline.
- Must be prepared to problem solve on the job.
- A heart to serve wherever and whoever is in need.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions. Requires climbing sitting standing squatting stooping twisting hiking dancing seeing hearing and talking.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHAs Mission Vision Values and Commitment statements.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provideproof of eligibility to work in the United States.
