Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join a busy and well-established outpatient behavioral health department in Daytona Beach Florida.

This full-time permanent opportunity offers flexible office hours a supportive interdisciplinary environment and limited call (telephone only). The position provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population focusing on both mental health and substance use disorders.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations medication management and ongoing treatment for adult and adolescent patients.

• Conduct individual family and group therapy as appropriate to patient needs.

• Collaborate within a team-based behavioral health environment that includes Psychiatrists PMHNPs LCSWs LMHCs Crisis Intervention specialists Intensive Outreach programs and Addiction Services (including a Suboxone clinic).

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with clinical best practices.

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings case conferences and quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.

• Support continuity of care through collaboration with primary care physicians and specialty services within the organization.

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

• Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry; active/eligible for Florida medical license.

• Experience: Previous outpatient experience preferred; new graduates and residents are welcome to apply.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal diagnostic and communication skills.

  • Comfort working with both mental health and substance abuse populations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Commitment to patient-centered evidence-based care.
