POSITION SUMMARY
The Group Lead Packaging will maintain an efficient flow on the line; run line to achieve expected rate
while maintaining quality product; will direct packaging operators/material handlers on the line and
report any problems to the shift supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Assist the Packaging Supervisor in reviewing the processes for line change over.
* Oversee monitor and coordinate Packaging line activities giving importance to individual
members and overall teams achievement of established goals. Ensure line goals are aligned
with and representative of overall companys directive.
* Check all product and components with each job on the line for accuracy against process orders
using SAP.
* Assign area of work for each packaging operator on the line; check to make sure each person is
performing his/her job duties.
* Train and direct employees on the line and mentor Line Packaging Operators.
* Execute all paperwork (ex. PBR Line Clearance Clean-up Log book etc.)
* Perform minor adjustments on machines.
* Know expected rate-per-hour and make changes as necessary to achieve expected rate.
* Accurately fill out the related paperwork.
* Check quality of product and call for QA when questionable.
* Request maintenance on machinery when problems arise.
* Make sure the line is cleaned between jobs and at the end of the shift.
* Communicate any problems or concerns with the Shift Supervisor.
* Anticipate changes and act accordingly.
* Label and remove skids from the line.
* Have sufficient amount of product and components on the line to allow for a steady flow of
work.
* Maintain efficient productivity rates while complying with safety quality and GMP practices.
* Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
* Must be willing to work other shifts and weekends.
* Attend any classes meetings and participate in committees as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
* Solid understanding of cGMP practices and concepts.
* Ability to read comprehend and follow SOPs written in English.
* Computer familiarity preferred.
* Comprehension of the English language: reading and writing skills to understand and
complete necessary paperwork.
* Ability to develop and lead a diverse group of employees.
* Consistent legible penmanship.
* May be required to move materials weighing up to 25 lbs
* Maybe required to wear personal protective equipment including a PAPR
* Maybe required to move about the packaging area
* May be required to remain in an upright position for extended periods of time
EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
* 3-8 years working in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
* Prior work experience in a similar working environment - prior training or supervision
experience preferred.
5am-1pm 1st shift
5pm-1am 2nd shift
Pay $30.00 - $34.50
