JobSummary:
Performsphlebotomymanagesthedonordeskandsupportsthelaboratory byperformingthefollowing duties This position works within one of Coopers California Cryobank Reproductive Tissue Recovery Laboratories and is focused on providing excellent phlebotomy services to the clientele we service
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
ensuring specimens are collected and submitted in a timely blood and urine specimens for transport to reference laboratories prints finalized results as well as keep track of overdue results. Maintains phlebotomy supplies.
identified verifying specimen cups are accurately labeled.
CoordinateswiththeLaboratoryManagerorLaboratorySupervisortheadditionalneedsofthelaboratorywhich may include but are not limited to scanning and filing donor worksheets and manifests
Laboratory duties performed include media aliquoting stainingmorphologyslidespost-thawanalysisqualitycontrolchecksroutinecleaningoflaboratoryequipment laboratory supply maintenance and cryogenic/biorepository duties such as tank checks and inventory transfer movements including shipping of frozen biologic samples.
Complieswithallregulatoryqualityassurancequalitycontrolstandardoperatingandsafetyprocedures.
Participateinproficiencyandcompetencyassessments.
