Job Summary:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse with postpartum care experience and recent Epic EHR proficiency to join a leading healthcare facility in Ithaca NY. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care during the postpartum period ensuring safety comfort and quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum patients and their newborns within the L&D Unit.
Monitor and assess patient and infant conditions responding promptly to any clinical changes.
Accurately document all care and observations using the Epic electronic health record system.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery newborn care and breastfeeding.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies infection control standards and safety procedures.
Foster a compassionate supportive and professional environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Active RN license in the state of New York.
Recent experience in Labor & Delivery with postpartum care required.
Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required.
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Strong clinical judgment critical thinking and communication skills.
Must be available to work three 12-hour night shifts per week.
