Job Summary

Position Summary:
Are you a licensed therapist or registered associate looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children families and individuals navigating mental health challenges Shine Counseling is currently hiring Mental Health Therapists to join our compassionate and culturally responsive team. We offer trauma-informed services across the lifespan and are especially seeking clinicians interested in working with children and/or postpartum adults.

Your Role:
As a therapist at Shine you may work with children teens adults couples and families. Caseloads are thoughtfully developed based on your interests specialties and population preferences.

You will:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake and biopsychosocial assessments
  • Deliver individual family or couples therapy using evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate with clients to develop treatment plans with SMART goals
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with Medicaid and clinical standards
  • Provide crisis support and family engagement as needed
  • Participate in supervision team meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Uphold ethical legal and HIPAA-compliant practices


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Counseling Social Work Psychology Marriage and Family Therapy or a related behavioral health field
  • Active Oregon license (LPC LMFT LCSW) or registration as an Associate (LPCA LMFTA CSWA)
  • Experience providing therapy to children families or adults
  • Commitment to culturally responsive trauma-informed and client-centered care
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation standards
  • Must pass a background check and meet all requirements for working with vulnerable populations


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children ages 05 or postpartum adults
  • Training in evidence-based practices such as DBT EMDR CBT PCIT or play therapy
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Knowledge of local resources and family systems

Compensation Structure:


  • Registered Associates:
    • Starts at $52000 annually during a three-month onboarding period
    • Increases to $60000 annually once 20 stat hours/week are consistently met
    • Stat hours above 20/week paid at $85/hour
    • Associates completing 30 stat hours/week over 47 weeks annually can earn over $100000/year
  • Licensed Therapists:
    • Starts at $60000 annually during onboarding
    • Increases to $70000 annually once 20 stat hours/week are maintained
    • Stat hours above 20/week paid at $95/hour
    • Licensed clinicians completing 30 stat hours/week over 48 weeks can earn $110800/year


Note: Additional weeks are allocated for paid time off and holidays.
