What you will be doing:
This position works semi-independently to construct troubleshoot repair and maintain State facilities within the guidelines of current State statutes and codes in the most efficient and economical manner possible.

This position performs maintenance repair troubleshooting upkeep and construction of public facilities and facility systems in the State of Alaska within but not limited to the Anchorage Hub.

Who we are looking for:

Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs installations uses repair and maintenance.
Painting: Knowledge of materials methods and appropriate tools to apply paint and other protective coating materials on drywall wood metal glass and other surfaces.
Plumbing and Pipefitting: Knowledge of materials methods and the appropriate tools to install maintain or repair pipelines pepe systems and fixtures including water air steam gas chemicals or sewage.
Electrical: Knowledge of electrical equipment components instruments and systems including their design installation testing uses repair or maintenance.
Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations.
