JOB TITLE: Safety & Quality Lead

DEPARTMENT: Construction Operations

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO: Program Manager Safety & Quality

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Safety & Quality Lead will lead site-level safety and quality assurance programs across federal construction projects. This role ensures compliance with federal state and local safety and environmental regulations while upholding the companys standards of construction excellence. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset knowledge of federal construction protocols and a passion for fostering a culture of safety and quality.

Safety Duties:

• Implement and enforce site-specific Health & Safety Plans (HASP) EMOSHA standards and company safety protocols.
• Conduct daily site inspections safety audits toolbox talks and incident investigations.
• Interface with site leadership subcontractors and federal safety representatives (e.g. CORs Safety Officers).
• Track and document safety metrics near-misses and corrective actions.
• Lead job hazard analyses (JHAs) and ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.

Quality Duties:

• Implement and monitor the projects Quality Control Plan in accordance with USACE/NAVFAC 3-phase QC system.
• Participate in Preparatory Initial and Follow-Up inspections to ensure work meets contract specifications.
• Maintain quality records inspection logs test results and deficiency tracking.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure rework meets specifications.
• Liaise with government quality representatives and ensure all documentation is audit-ready.

Required Education and Experience

• 5 years of experience in safety and/or quality roles within federal construction environments (DoE DoD VA USACE NAVFAC preferred).
• Working knowledge of EMOSHA 1926 standards and federal QC protocols.
• Strong understanding of construction processes submittals and specifications.
• Excellent communication documentation and leadership skills.

• Safety certifications (ASP CSP OHST CHST CUSP etc.)
• CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors USACE)
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
• EMCompliance Training
• First Aid/CPR Certification
