Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Benefits Analyst to support the day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs on a part-time contract basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in benefits and leave of absence (LOA) management who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What Youll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits and leave-related inquiries providing timely and accurate support.
  • Administer and maintain all employee benefit programs including but not limited to health dental vision and FSA/HSA plans.
  • Support the administration and tracking of employee leaves of absence (FMLA STD parental personal leave etc.) including:
    • Communicating with employees about their leave status rights and responsibilities.
    • Tracking leave time ensuring timely updates to HRIS systems and payroll and maintaining accurate leave records.
    • Coordinate pay during leave periods by calculating and reconciling payments from State-provided benefits and Employer-sponsored benefits as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws related to benefits and leave administration.
  • Collaborate with People team payroll and third-party vendors to ensure accurate benefit enrollments changes and terminations.
  • Process qualifying life event changes and ensure appropriate documentation is collected and maintained.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and assist with audits and reporting as needed.
  • Help develop and improve internal processes documentation and employee communications related to benefits and LOA.

What Youll Bring

  • 2 years of experience in benefits administration including leave of absence management.
  • Solid understanding of benefits regulations (ACA ERISA FMLA HIPAA COBRA).
  • Experience working with HRIS and benefits platforms (Workday preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
