The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) keeps New York City healthy safe and clean by collecting recycling and disposing of waste cleaning City streets and vacant lots and clearing snow and ice. DSNY is the nations largest municipal sanitation agency with nearly 10000 employees 59 district garages and a fleet of more than 5000 trucks cars and other types of equipment. The Department clears litter snow and ice from approximately 6500 miles of City streets and removes debris from vacant lots as well as abandoned vehicles from City streets.
The Sr. Engagement Coordinator will support the Departments engagement efforts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support executive management at community board meetings and various events organized by elected officials and community groups.
- Support executive management in expanding the Departments engagement with the recognized Affiliated Organizations to ensure a strong connection between Department leadership and the constituents of each affiliation.
- Manage logistics related to all Department engagement events including scheduling and preparing materials.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the executive team to effectively promote the agencys priorities to critical stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications :
from an accredited college with a Baccalaureate degree plus specialized training in public management and evaluation.
