Location: County Hall Preston Lancashire
Salary:(plus relocation and car allowance)
Reports to: Executive Director for Education and Childrens Services
About the role:
Lancashire County Council is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to drive the transformation of Childrens Social Care and lead the implementation of the families first programme.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the strategic design planning and delivery of the families first programme.
- Provide visionary leadership for quality assurance inspection and safeguarding early help and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with partners across police health education and other agencies to embed reforms and deliver improved outcomes.
- Ensure operational and workforce implications are fully considered in all reforms.
- Deputise for the Director of Childrens Social Care at senior forums and statutory boards.
About You
- Proven track record of senior leadership in childrens services with experience of delivering large-scale change and innovation.
- Extensive knowledge of childrens social care legislation and Ofsted regulatory standards.
- Experience of building effective partnerships and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to operate effectively within political environments.
