Wallis Drilling are seeking a Yard Person / Trade Assistant to join our team and support our Newman operations. This is a great opportunity for a local candidate whos motivated safety-focused and keen to be part of a tight-knit high-performing team.

About the Role:

3-month fixed term role (with possibility to move into a full-time position) offers variety and the opportunity to work alongside experienced tradespeople. Youll assist in yard stores and workshop operations helping to keep our equipment and facilities running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with preparing and dispatching equipment and materials
Receive and document deliveries of parts and supplies
Maintain yard organisation inventory and general housekeeping
Assist tradespeople with workshop tasks and equipment servicing
Operate forklifts overhead cranes and other site equipment (training provided)
Manage third-party access to site and uphold safety protocols

What Were Looking For:

Newman/local candidates preferred
Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions and procedures
Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Drivers licence (HR licence advantageous)
Experience with overhead cranes dogging or rigging is a bonus
Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
Mechanically minded
